Aluminum Composite Panel

Overview

Composite panels are sandwich-structured materials made by bonding low-density polyethylene material at high temperatures between two aluminum coils. This product improves upon traditional aluminum sheets by addressing issues such as flatness, weight, processability, color uniformity, and condensation. Additionally, it provides excellent insulation and sound absorption properties, making it an ideal material for interior and exterior architectural applications. Composite panels consist of aluminum-laminated composites coated with PVDF, a fluororesin-based paint known for its exceptional durability.

Characteristics

  • Flatness
Effectively prevents warping. Since it is manufactured using a roll-forming method, excellent flatness is maintained.
The core maintains elastic properties, allowing the composite panel to retain its flat form.
  • Thermal Insulation
The panel’s low thermal conductivity and sandwich structure offer superior heat resistance and insulation.
  • Sound Absorption and Noise Insulation
The composite structure enhances the panel’s ability to absorb and block external sound and impact.
  • Workability
Lighter than general sheet materials—approximately half the weight—making it easy to transport and install despite its large panel size.
  • Durability and Weather Resistance
Offers high safety through high-temperature thermal treatment. The chemical stability of fluorine provides durability even under harsh weather conditions including acid rain, infrared, and ultraviolet exposure.
  • Corrosion Resistance
Aluminum forms a dense oxide layer upon oxidation, which protects against corrosion, making it highly suitable for areas with heavy air pollution or harsh climates.
  • Lightweight
Weighs only 1/2 to 1/3 compared to aluminum wheels or other metal sheets such as steel, copper, or stainless steel, helping to reduce building load.

Applications

Used in a wide range of fields such as sash door surfaces for architectural windows, canopy ceilings, interior and exterior cladding, advertising and interior design, semiconductor equipment, and partition doors.
