OilonSelf-lubricating nylon

Oilon is a family of nylon (PA) materials with enhanced self-lubrication and wear resistance, available as red TP LUBE 610, green TP 601 and yellow TP 612. TP LUBE 610, an innovative material from the Nylacast production line, contains special lubricating components that give it a coefficient of friction of 0.03~0.08 and suit it to a wide range of loads, speeds and temperatures. All three have a heat deflection temperature above 200℃ and are used in automotive, machinery, shipbuilding, petrochemical and other industries.

Grades

  • TP LUBE 610

    Red Oilon

An innovative material from the Nylacast production line, developed as a highly wear-resistant plastic and recognized across industries worldwide. Special lubricating components give it a coefficient of friction of 0.03~0.08, the best among industrial plastics, together with excellent wear resistance and mechanical properties over a wide range of loads, speeds and temperatures.

Self-lubrication is over 15 times that of MC Nylon, and the heat deflection temperature is above 210℃. It has excellent mechanical strength and durability among PA materials, resists alkalis and can be used with weak acids. It is used in the automotive, machinery, shipbuilding, petrochemical and food industries.

Applications: wear plates, heavy equipment parts, guide bushings, automotive parts, chain guides, steel plant machine parts, gears, sprockets, rollers and petrochemical applications.

  • TP 601

    Green Oilon

The first nylon made with added special lubricating components. The lubricants sharply lower its coefficient of friction: in bearings it lasts about 5 times longer than MC Nylon and about 20 times longer than bronze. It offers low wear, low friction and resistance to stick-slip.

Self-lubrication is about 5 times that of MC Nylon (friction coefficient 0.1~0.15), and the heat deflection temperature is above 210℃. It has high mechanical strength and excellent durability.

Applications: wear plates, heavy equipment parts, guide bushings, automotive parts, gears, steel plant machine parts, sheaves and petrochemical applications.

  • TP 612

    Yellow Oilon

A copolymer in which Nylon 12 is polymerized from its monomers under a special chemical environment. Its special chemical bonding sharply reduces water absorption and improves weather resistance. With water absorption and elastic modulus far lower than conventional nylon, it offers high dimensional stability and impact strength and is used in automotive, machinery, shipbuilding and other industries.

Self-lubrication is about 2.5 times that of MC Nylon (friction coefficient 0.2), and the heat deflection temperature is above 200℃. It is highly durable, resists alkalis and can be used with weak acids.

Applications: submarine bushings, guide bushings, impellers, gears, rollers, outriggers, heavy equipment parts, wear plates and steel plant machine parts.
